ASHP’s Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) Training Program meets the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) training requirements and is compliant with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration training requirements for the Medication Access and Training Expansion Act of 2023.
The MOUD Training Program is presented as self-guided online learning for pharmacists, physicians, and other advanced healthcare professionals who work or plan to work with medications for opioid use disorder.
- Developed by leading faculty and content-matter experts, the program navigates learners through a robust curriculum of topics, including opioid use disorder foundations, safe opioid prescribing, complex patient care, and opioid stewardship for risk reduction.
- Each topic contains clearly defined learning objectives developed to support learners’ educational needs.
- Learners will receive a statement of completion after passing a comprehensive examination.
- Before completing the Medications for Opioid Use Disorder Training Program, learners are encouraged to check with their state board of pharmacy to confirm that the training program meets individual state requirements.
The MOUD Training Program is included in the Midyear discount and can be purchased onsite at the ASHP Store and Product Showcase located in the Main Lobby, Level 1 of the Anaheim Convention Center.
