ASHP members have selected the following individuals to serve on the Executive Committees of ASHP’s Pharmacy Practice Sections.
The terms for the Section Chairs-elect will begin immediately; the two-year terms for Directors-at-Large will start in June 2022.
The new officers are as follows:
Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners
Chair-elect: Jaclyn A. Boyle, Pharm.D., M.S., M.B.A., BCACP, BCPS
Director-at-Large-elect: Ashley M. Parrott, Pharm.D., M.B.A., BCACP, BCPS
- Jaclyn A. Boyle, Pharm.D., M.S., M.B.A., BCACP, BCPS, is the assistant dean of student success and associate professor of pharmacy practice at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Her ASHP service includes terms as director-at-large of the Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners, member of the Section Advisory Group (SAG) on Compensation and Practice Sustainability, appointed member of the Center for Pharmacy Practice Advancement Advisory Group and the Women in Pharmacy Leadership Steering Committee, and an alternate delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates from Ohio.
- Ashley M. Parrott, Pharm.D., M.B.A., BCACP, BCPS, is the ambulatory clinical pharmacy manager at Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is a past chair and longtime member of the SAG on Compensation and Practice Sustainability and a frequent reviewer for the ASHP CV Review Program and presenter at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting & Exhibition.

- Christi A. Jen, Pharm.D., BCPS, FASHP, FAzPA, is the pharmacy clinical manager and postgraduate year 1 residency program director at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Her ASHP service includes terms as a member of the SAGs on emergency care and clinical leadership and the Year-Round Educational Steering Committee and chair of the SAG on Preceptor Skills Development and the ASHP Council on Therapeutics. She also is an Arizona delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates.
- Brian A. Potoski, Pharm.D., BCPS (AQ-ID), is associate professor, University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Potoski’s ASHP service includes terms on the Section Educational Steering Committee — Meeting Planning and the ASHP Council on Therapeutics. He is the ASHP representative to the Infectious Diseases Society of America intra-abdominal practice guidelines working group.

- Sarah S. Stephens, Pharm.D., CPPS, is the network medication safety officer for HonorHealth in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her ASHP service includes terms as director-at-large of the section, past chair and vice chair of the SAG on Medication Safety, and faculty for the ASHP Crisis and Pandemic Management certificate.
- Indrani Kar, Pharm.D., is clinical pharmacy specialist for drug policy/formulary at University Hospitals Health System in Cleveland, Ohio. Her ASHP service includes terms as chair of the Section Educational Steering Committee and member of the SAG on Medication Safety and the ASHP Council on Therapeutics.

- James A. Trovato, Pharm.D., M.B.A., FASHP, is professor and vice chair of academic affairs at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Baltimore. He is a past chair of the ASHP House of Delegates and member of the ASHP Board of Directors. His ASHP service also includes terms as chair of the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists, the ASHP Council on Educational Affairs, and the ASHP Board of Canvassers.
- Timothy R. Brown, Pharm.D., BCACP, FASHP, is the director of interprofessional education for the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and professor in pharmacology and toxicology for Augusta University Medical College of Georgia and UGA Partnership. He is a past board member of ASHP and recognized nationally as a leader within ambulatory care.
Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology
Chair-elect: Benjamin J. Anderson, Pharm.D., M.P.H.
Director-at-Large-elect: David A. Agüero, Pharm.D., MSTL, DPLA
- Benjamin J. Anderson, Pharm.D., M.P.H., is a medication management informaticist at Mayo Clinic, serving the Mayo Clinic enterprise across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Florida. His ASHP service includes terms as director-at-large of the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology and chair and vice chair of the SAG on Clinical Information Systems.
- David A. Agüero, Pharm.D., MSTL, DPLA, is the director of medication systems and informatics at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Agüero has served on the Section Education Steering Committee and several section advisory groups.
Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders
Chair-elect: Lindsey B. Amerine, Pharm.D., M.S., BCPS, FASHP
Director-at-Large-elect: David R. Hager, Pharm.D., BCPS
- Lindsey B. Amerine, Pharm.D., M.S., BCPS, FASHP, is director of pharmacy at UNC Health and the coordinator for the health-system pharmacy administration and leadership residency at UNC Medical Center. She recently completed a term as director-at-large of the section. Her ASHP service also includes terms on the Council of Pharmacy Practice, the SAGs on Manager Development and Leadership Development, and the New Practitioners Forum Leadership and Career Development Advisory Group.
- David R. Hager, Pharm.D., BCPS, is director of clinical pharmacy services at University of Wisconsin (UW) Health. His ASHP service includes terms as chair and vice chair of the SAG on Value, Quality, and Compliance, member of the Education Steering Committee, and Wisconsin delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates.

- Scott L. Canfield, Pharm.D., CSP, is assistant director for clinical program development at Johns Hopkins Home Care Group. He recently completed a term as director-at-large of the Section of Specialty Pharmacy Practitioners and was a co-guest editor of the specialty pharmacy theme issue of AJHP.
- Ashley M. K. (Kappenman) Ryther, Pharm.D., M.S., BCPS, is pharmacy supervisor at the University of Utah Health Pharmacy Ambulatory Clinical Care Center, and adjunct instructor at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy. Her ASHP service includes terms as chair and vice chair of the SAG on Workforce Development and as an alternate delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates from Utah.
