ASHP announced today that Anil Ravandur has joined the organization as chief information officer (CIO) and vice president of the Office of Information Technology (IT). Ravandur will oversee ASHP's IT enterprise, leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of solutions that advance ASHP's mission and ensure that ASHP's digital strategies and technology road map support the organization's strategic priorities and long-term vision.
Ravandur brings more than three decades of technology experience to ASHP, including 15 years of executive IT leadership. Most recently, he served as CIO at the American Academy of Physicians Associates where he led a number of key initiatives to modernize technology infrastructure, grow revenue, and increase membership recruitment and retention. He previously held leadership roles at the Association for Talent Development and Personify, Inc.

In his new role at ASHP, Ravandur will bring strategic direction and hands-on management to a range of large-scale IT initiatives as well as ongoing operational leadership for infrastructure and data architecture, application development and support, and cybersecurity.
Ravandur earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming, a Bachelor of Engineering from Bangalore University, and holds a CompTIA Network+ Certification. He will begin his new role at ASHP on Jan. 7, 2025.
