ASHP Mourns Those Killed and Injured in New Orleans

ASHP is shocked and saddened by the apparent act of senseless violence in New Orleans early this morning that has killed at least 10 and injured 30. ASHP’s policy, the Role of the Pharmacy Workforce in Violence Prevention, recognizes that violence is a public health crisis and calls for the profession to get involved in and help lead violence prevention initiatives in the workplace and the community.  ASHP expresses our heartfelt condolences to the loved ones of the victims, and thanks the first responders and healthcare workers treating the victims of this horrific event.
