Bradley Johnson and Calabrese Elected to Board of Directors

Paul WalkerPaul C. Walker, Pharm.D., FASHP, has been elected as ASHP’s new President-elect. Vivian Bradley Johnson, B.S., Pharm.D., M.B.A., R.Ph., FASHP, and Samuel V. Calabrese, B.S. Pharm., M.B.A., R.Ph., FASHP, were elected to serve on the ASHP Board of Directors.

Walker is clinical professor and assistant dean of experiential education and community engagement at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy, and manager, department of pharmacy, Michigan Medicine. He recently completed a term on the ASHP Board of Directors and served as chair of the ASHP Task Force on Racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. His ASHP service also includes terms as chair of the Committee on Nominations, member of the ASHP Commission on Affiliate Relations and the ASHP Foundation Donor Retention Subcommittee, and as a delegate to the ASHP House of Delegates.

Vivian JohnsonBradley Johnson is the senior vice president of clinical services at Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, Texas. Her ASHP service includes terms on the ASHP Foundation Residency Excellence Awards Committee, the ASHP Council on Pharmacy Management, and the ASHP Task Force on Racial Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She is an appointed member of the ASHP Pharmacy Executive Leadership Alliance Advisory Panel and the ASHP Forecast 2022 Advisory Committee.

Sam CalabreseCalabrese is the executive chief pharmacy officer for the Cleveland Clinic Enterprise in Cleveland, Ohio and holds an academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University. He is a past chair and director-at-large of the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders and was chair of the Section Advisory Group for Quality and Compliance. His ASHP service also includes terms on the Commission on Affiliate Relations, the Council of Pharmacy Management, and as an ASHP delegate for Ohio. He is an appointed member of the ASHP Pharmacy Executive Leadership Alliance Advisory Panel.

Walker will begin his term immediately. Bradley Johnson and Calabrese will begin their three-year terms in June 2022.

ASHP thanks the members of the Board of Canvassers for their work to certify the election results. The members of the Board of Canvassers are Majid Tanas (Chair), Mary Binghay, Chris Ellison, and John Spain.
