Today, ASHP (American Society of Health-System Pharmacists) announced it has been selected as one of the Washington Post’s Top Workplaces for 2022. This marks the third time that ASHP has been named one of the Top Workplaces in the greater Washington, D.C., area.
Now in its ninth year, the Washington Post’s Top Workplaces list recognizes 200 Washington-area firms deemed by their employees to be the best places to work in the region. The Washington Post Top Workplaces award is based on employee feedback that was gathered through a survey issued by Energage, a research company with more than 16 years of experience surveying over 27 million employees at 70,000 organizations.
Given that the Top Workplaces awards are based entirely on employee feedback, they are considered one of the world's most objective and credible employer recognition programs.
The 2022 Washington Post Top Workplace award adds to the growing list of awards ASHP has received, including:
- The 2022 Top Workplaces USA award
- Two Top workplaces 2022 Culture Excellence Awards
- The Washington Post Top Workplaces award (2016 and 2017)
- The 2017 Best Places to Work in Healthcare, awarded by Modern Healthcare magazine
“ASHP is committed to maintaining an engaging workplace culture that is based on inclusivity and respect,” said ASHP CEO Paul W. Abramowitz, PharmD, ScD (Hon), FASHP. “This recognition by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace affirms that ASHP provides a top-notch working environment for employees, which allows us to provide our members with the tools and resources they need to provide exceptional patient care.”
The companies selected as Top Workplaces were honored at a celebration on Thursday, June 16, and announced today in the Washington Post’s print and online editions. In addition, the Washington Post recently partnered with ASHP to create this short video.
